My name is Dr Kirsty Newbury and I am an an approachable, thoughtful and empathetic Child and Educational Psychologist and Equine (horse)-Assisted Therapist. I currently work across London and the surrounding areas to support children, young people, families, schools and professionals.

The aim of my work is to support the emotional wellbeing and educational achievements of children and young people aged between 0-25 years old. I am highly skilled and experienced in working with a wide range of issues which can affect the lives of children, young people and their families including:
Social, emotional and mental health needs.

Cognition and Learning.

Speech, language and communication needs.

Neurodiverse clients such as those who have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Central to my way of working is taking time to listen to and understand clients, so that I can establish rapport and respond with an approach, which is tailored to their specific needs. Additionally, I am qualified as a Family Systemic Practitioner and I believe in working collaboratively with families to promote emotional well-being for children and young people.

I work within the British Psychological Society's Professional Practice Guidelines and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am also Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checked and attend regular safeguarding training.

Outside of my working hours, I enjoy spending time outdoors, horse riding, practising yoga and pilates, and spending quality time with my partner and 3 year old daughter.
